In this workshop, Sally Pick, an area home energy consultant who served as the solar coach for Solarize Montague, will cover the basics of how solar works, what it requires, its economics, and the pros and cons of owning versus having third-party ownership of your PV system (aka leasing or Power Purchase Agreements). Sally will talk about the current incentives for purchasing solar PV that reduce the upfront cost, the newly launched low-interest MA Solar Loan program that makes buying solar more affordable, and community shared solar, an option for renters and homeowners who want solar power but do not have a good site for PV on their property.
