The results from this year’s Biothon are in: a record 20 teams, including 7 youth outings, participated in finding 620 different species throughout the Valley. 187 team members also helped to raise over $13,500 for the Hitchcock Center’s programs.

Thank you to our hard-working Biothon committee: Danielle Barshak, Elizabeth Farnsworth, and Dan Ziomek.  We want to recognize special achievements: David Spector & Janice Gifford for Most Dollars Raised (over $2,900!) and Danielle Barshak’s team of Judith Davidov, Joanne Jaffin, Ruth Kane-Levit, Sharon Weizenbaum and Bob Winston for Most Species Counted at 178!

It’s not too late to support your favorite team, purchase a beautiful Biothon t-shirt with original artwork, or pick up a set of specially designed native species coloring postcards: visit our Biothon page for all the details, including this year’s list of species.
