State Representative Ellen Story was honored with the Hitchcock Center’s Hero for a Healthy Planet Award at the annual Salamander Sunday Brunch on November 6th. Her service to the community and her commitment to seeking funding and support at the state level for the Center’s new “living” building has been unwavering.
Presented by Julie Johnson, Hitchcock Center Executive Director, Jaana Cutson, Hitchcock Board President, Nancy Eddy, Capital Campaign Chair, the award read:

Your beauty and grace in everything you do will always be cherished. We are forever grateful for your pioneering spirit, unwavering commitment, dogged determination, and exceptional integrity. Thank you for championing the Hitchcock Center’s mission to educate for a healthier planet and for securing our legacy by making our visionary new “living” building a reality. You are a game-changer and a change-maker.
